Kaleidoscope

Photographs by PMPA members, Mike Anderson and Mark Fitzgerald, are featured in "Kaleidoscope",a colorful art show sponsored by the Gresham Art Committee.

The theme for this show inspired a number of interesting submissions:"As a kaleidoscope tube rotates, the tumbling of the colored objects creates a varying colors and patterns. This colorful, ever-changing display, when colors come alive, is the inspiration for our show’s focus on the vibrant use of color and patterns."
The show, which is on display at the Gresham City Hall Visual Arts Gallery, includes works from a wide range of media. Mike and Mark are two of the three photographers in the show. Seven of their photographs were chosen to hang. Two of Mark’s photos were used for the posters and postcards used to promote the show.
Kaleidoscope runs from October 20 – December 3. The artist’s reception is November 17, from 5:30 -7:00 where Mark is the featured artist and will be signing his books. If you’re in the area, stop by for some light refreshments, live jazz music by Kyle Lewis, and lots of colorful art.
