D-65 workshops are a dynamic resource for digital photographers of any level. Our 4-day intensive will equip you with the tools to manage your work efficiently, effectively, and effortlessly.We’ll teach you detailed workflow using Lightroom 3; including digital asset management, processing and image delivery. You’ll become an expert in keeping every image you shoot organized and archived.

We will solve all of your Lightroom mysteries and problems. Of all the questions that we receive on problems with Lightroom, 99% of them simply come down to one big question, "WHERE ARE MY PICTURES?" D65 will teach you how to solve this mystery and how tackle problems that most Lightroom users run into as well as other topics such as:

The concept of the Public Library and Card Catalog applied to photographs
Definition of Metadata. Who needs this stuff? Isn’t this a lot of work?
Dedicated Hard drives
Cull your images; edit down, leave only the good ones. Delete.
Organization: File Naming Convention. Folder Structure. Name Templates and Presets. Use file types and extensions that can be made to work for you.
File Handling on Import. Create a Naming Template, Develop Preset and Metadata Preset.
Ranking with Stars and Labels. The use of dual screens. Deletion. Re-name for out-of-sequence files. Save out the Metadata.
Captions: Basic. Global and Local metadata. Access online data for caption & metadata use.
Keywording: Keyword Hierarchy. Use Public and Private metadata. Keyword suggestions. Search for keywords. Keyword concepts. Keyword Sets.
Filtering with Metadata: Use filtering in Lightroom to find and view subsets of your Library. Use Keywords and Metadata. Create a Quick Collection and save ‘virtual’ Collections. Use Smart Collections that update automatically as new photographs are keyworded.
On-the-Road:
Learn how to take a ‘remote’ Catalog on the road while leaving the originals at home – yet still be able to work with all of your files. Working with a laptop and external drives. Drive naming. ‘Off-line’ files. Size of Previews. Learn how to safely integrate new files with an original master Catalog: three scenarios & methods. Import Settings and Keywords. Create a Catlaog and Previews to be taken on the road.
